| Re: Fishing In Silt Standard bottom rigs will work i.e Snowman, chod (make sure you set the top bead 2ft from your lead. Solid bags will work well - add 2/3 pva nuggets to a bag so it sits ontop of the silt. Also, a long braided hooklength will work - i tend to use flat leads with all my silt rigs apart from the chod, where i prefer the lead to "plug" in the silt! If you want some decent PVA products at a good price,pm me for details |

| Re: Fishing In Silt Hi Simon, If I'm fishing silt I use approx 10" soft hook length. Never use a stiff hook link they stick straight up out of the silt and looks to un-natural. Pva bags works fine I like to use a fluro pop over the bag with a few fluros ground up so it's not glaring. Pellet in the bags get the carp grubbing around. If using particle don't leve it out for over 2 hours as they take on a black look and smell. If the lake responds to particle fish a bait topped with fake corn either one that has been soaking in a flavour or a plain one. Hope this helps tj |
