Bait help

It's getting longer between I go fishing and I don't have a tackle shop near me so I was wondering if there was a bait like maggots that last a while and hopefully can be sent through the post

hi, just read the post, i googled leeds tackle shops and found 7 in and around leeds

Plenty of baits apart from maggots young man.

Bread,sweetcorn,lucheon meat can all be bought from your local grocery store and if you have a garden,worms should'nt be too hard to find.

As chris has already stated there are loads of tackle shops in the Leeds area!

There is in Leeds but there all about 2-3 miles away from me which is a bit awkward as my usual transportation is a bike

3 miles on a bike is not very far! I usually walk that distance and more when I go fly fishing - and I'm an old codger - a young lad your age shouldn't have a problem riding three miles on a bike!

lol, not to far then, exercise does you good, alternativily, if you have any other anglers close, try to arrange it between you to make the journey, 1 collecting 1st week, someone else the 2nd week,.

six of us used to travel on bikes as far as 10 miles each way to fish.

I don't know........kids these days.............when I were a lad we would walk three miles to school - do a full day - then walk three miles home again
