Recycling A Broken Rod? I recently broke the middle section of my rod and I doubt it'd be economic to replace it, or even if it'd even be possible. It's not like it was an expensive one anyway, although it did do great service over plenty of years and I caught plenty of very decent fish with it. Is there any other option anyone knows of apart from just chucking it away? Is there any way it could be recycled, or is there some other thing I could use the two unbroken sections for?

Re: Recycling A Broken Rod? Cut it up into various little lengths, about 6cm each and you can use these little tubes as bread punches in a range of sizes. Press it into the slice of bread, twist, remove and nick your hook straight into the disc of bread so baiting your hook and lifting the bread disc out of the punch in one go.

Re: Recycling A Broken Rod? I made a nice throwing stick for feeding maggots, casters etc. one handed whilst I had a rod/Pole in my other hand, out of an old fibreglass fishing rod handle once. see below: __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now)
