| Differtent types of fishing??? Hi everyone. I have heard of different types of fishing. Some you can take the fish, some you have to return it back to the water, then I have heard of fly fishing and some more... Could some one explain me this types of fishing please. This would be very helpfull. Bearmick.     |

| Re: Differtent types of fishing??? course includes float fishing and ledgering for roach carp pike ect ,game includes spinning fly fishing dapping ect for salmon grayling trout sea trout,sea fishing is self explanitory ,,,course lakes rivers fishing it is illegal to take and keep the fish without owners consent as its done soley for the sport ,,game fishing you can keep the fish if the owner says usualy fisheries run a bag limit on what you can take ,,sea fishing as long as the fish are correct size limit for the species you can if you wish take them you get caught with undersize fish its a hefty fine |

| Re: Differtent types of fishing??? as chazyboi says sea fishing as long as the fish are correct size limit for the species you can if you wish take them you get caught with undersize fish its a hefty fine,also defra has no taking certain fish at certain times of the year. defra were waiting on the dock as we landed, looking for any cod that had been caught, £1000 fine. the skipper had one, but it was well hidden. i have never understood why anglers with rod and line should be targeted by defra. boats with nets yes, but not 1 or 2 hook line anglers they surely cannot make any difference to fish stock levels. __________________ good luck and tight lines chris lifes to short for animosity. |

| Re: Differtent types of fishing??? chris ,you fish from a boat with rod and line same as beach i think it is silly though it seems to police rod and line anglers then not us beach anglers its a one for all mentality i think could be wrong though,,its the taking big carp out of our lakes and eating them i hate ,,i know poland has very little fresh water sport because of this but lets not get on that bus right now eh |

| Re: Differtent types of fishing??? coarse fishing is a different matter, i was just adding to your post regarding sizes of takeable fish. defra can sit on a jetty and check a lot of traffic returning to port, lone shore anglers are more difficult to check, to far apart to be worthwhile for them to be active along the shoreline I sometimes wish they would, maybe to stop the practise of taking undersized fish, a few hefty fines and tackle confiscation would soon put an end to it. __________________ good luck and tight lines chris lifes to short for animosity. |

| Re: Differtent types of fishing??? yea i posted that after going on a well known sea fishing site and seeing everyone congratulating a bloke on a rely undersize bass hed taken was a joke even the moderators were bigging him up lol some were of the good anglers were giving him stick and not condoning it one asked him to put a measure by it he refused seems a bit sus to me and on a big site like that tut tut i thought if he takes a few of them in a session and does that all year then its no different from netting undersize fish amount wise |
