worcestershire stour advice?

Hey all I've been walking past the stour in kiddermisnter quite often while visiting my grandparenst and saw some decent sized chub under a bridge by tkmax, was just wondering where and if you can fish it? And is it worth fishin? Also who owns the waters?

Ps barbel update still hadn't have one but found a cracking swim on the severn I've been baitin up and will be trying saturday/sunday

there are barbel dace chub and perch trout ,,do you know the lock pub by the canal you can get on the river there or from the canal in kiddy the baa stretch ,i used to pop down when fishing on the canal hard to find a decent swim far as i know no one owns it i never got stopped there is a path runs by some of it i google earthed it futher up looks fishable ,,funnily it was on central news the other day

is sealine the boat builders yard if so yes ??im from by the west brom ground so i go into kiddy via churchill it fishes from the lock pub by sion hill where the caravan site is right down to where it comes out on the 7 all through kiddy if you get on the canal in the town the river runs parallel to it only split by a bank ,,,maggots bread i use and a nice lob worm look for the pools and deeps dace on a float in the shallower faster stuff,,i hear the barbel are getting bigger but it is a tightly guarded secret with locals and unless you find em yourself its hard work good perch and roach chub also i have heard of a few jacks ,,

There's a whole thread on this. Put a search in for stour, the midlands one. It was started by Barbelblanker. Sounds like the place to be at the mo. I lived in Kiddy until earlier this year when I escaped, never ever fished it. there are some cracking fish by TKMax. They've been fed a lot of pasties and the like from the bread shop up the way. From what the other thread says the river is free to fish....but for how long?

it was on tv not long ago baa or kda will jump on it its clean as a whistle wen we were kids we bused it down to kiddy to fish the canal then jumped down bank to the river for the dace was filthy its still orange by my bros house in the black country lol,,like the tame in birmingham our rivers are cleaning up nicely some big chub over chelmsly way ive seen fish under bridge by villa ground aswell lol

your not meant to fish by tk max but know people who have jumped down on the right side of the bridge had one a chuck chub and few barbel last time i looked a few weeks ago there were 40 chub some looked 6lb no joke and around 4-5 barbel plus some big roach(i think),theres a secuirty guard im told who comes round but doesnt mind you fishing though.
As for elsewhere ive had most of my barbel behind the royal mail depot and one towards stourport,the rivers up so i would think it would be easier go roving use maggots as you'll catch anything on with a small feeder.

@barisax read that thread i rem it now its been updated a bit bloody hell didnt know there was that many barble in it ,,,that water will be nicked by some club deffo they will clear the banks and ruin it ,them barble have come up in the floods from the 7 and stayed must be teaming with food for them and i never heard of bream in there lol

Know what ya mean cheef! I've seen some HUGE chub holding in the flow and a few BIG roach bt only a handful of small barbel!
I rlly wanna give it ago as it seems more fun than the severn :)
I knw I can't fish by tkmax but its so shallow there showin badly!
Wud pellets work?
