| Line and spool I am quite new to fishing and I want to start catching bigger fish so I was wondering what I would do to upgrade the line strength (new spool needed or new line (if new line how to fit to old spool)) |

| Re: Line and spool you dont need a new spool mate, strip the old line off to about 3 quarters then tie on the new line to the old ,loop to loop. ask a friend to to put a pencil through the spool of new line while you reel in under tension, if youre along, put the new line in a bucket of water. just make sure the line is tight when your reeling it on. have look on youtube for a video guide. If you plan on fishing to great distances then strip the old line completely off and respool with new __________________ Species 2011.. | Re: Line and spool Not really , sounds like an argos rod. but if your just starting out then as long as it doesnt fall to bits then it should be fine __________________ Species 2011.. Common carp,Mirror carp,Pike,Rudd,Dace,Eel,Bream,Perch,Roach,Barbel, Chub |
