Margin Pole Help?

Hey Guys & Girls.
I just wondered if anyone could help me with a problem i have? I currently own a Maver Messiah 16Mtr pole which has been good to me for about 5-6 years however it urgently needs retirement. I have about 6 tops for it and about 6 universal tops which also fit the pole. Most of my fishing is done within 10Mtrs of the bank and for carp so i thought about perhaps purchasing a Margin pole, I was hoping to find one which would allow me to use the same top kits i already have (universal kits) However after looking about i cant seem to find the info im looking for.
I will be looking for a strong sturdy pole and nothing thats going to fall apart, Just wondered if any of you lovely lot could point me in the right direction?
Many thanks
Gary

Re: Margin Pole Help?

I have a Daiwa SR1 - 11metres. Slightly heavy at full length but at 9.5 or less its a good sturdy pole and is cheap too - Got mine for £140.00 but I think RRP is £175.00. Comes with 2 powers and one match and your universals will no doubt fit OK.
Not sure about more expensive poles though, I haven't dared to look at them for fear of emptying the bank account and getting in trouble off the wife!!!

Re: Margin Pole Help?

Thanks fella, i will take a look at this one. has it managed to withstand any real large carp?
I often fish matches where the average carp is 6-10lb

Re: Margin Pole Help?

I have caught carp up to 8lb without a problem. Puts a good bend in the pole but it still handles powerful fighters well with the right elastics - I have mine set with Maver Competition hollows.

It's performance wont match more expensive models but its served me well so far and being Daiwa, it is a quality pole for the price tag!!
