i live in ireland and fish in sallins a good canal but not my local one its a 20 minute cycle away and all the polish are buying bait from lidl(one of the most cheapest shops known in ireland) for around 1 euro and catching the fish and eating them ive even seen them take the ducks and eat them i went there and caught nothing for two hour's luckily there's not many at my local canal ive heard people contact the people who own the canals they cant do anything about it they even put the sign's up in polish...

I'm from Northern Ireland and I'd be surprised if there is ONE lake up here that hasn't been raped by foreignors. It's sickening.

The lack of respect is fairly sickening. I used to fish a small club lake where the baliff, who i was good mates with caught a couple of people from eastern europe smashing a carp over the head with a big stick.

Fish wasnt dead, balif went mental got rid of them and returned the fish.

Fish lived, all be it with a caved in head, caught it a couple of times the following years.

I don't understand the concept of how its ok to just turn up and start poaching?

i am not racist by any means (thought id get that bit out first just incase) ... so anyway ..

if we go to eastern europe we as british people are expected to behave as those eastern countries laws/rules/guidelines/what be it, state so why when they come over here do they poach in our water ways, take for example poland, when they go fishing, whatever they catch can be taken for the table, but here we do not unless its a trout water (don't no which ones allow fish to be taken as i don't do fly fishing). so why do the local authority not take more strict methods to stopping poaching, or is there and i havent yet heard about this?
