When I was buying the SR1 I asked on this forum about the Avanti stuff as it screams at you to buy it in Angling Times every week and I had mixed reviews - some said exactly what you guys have said 'you get what you pay for' and others said some of the stuff is OK and others said its crap so confused, I went to local tackle shop and it was there that I was told the Blue Vega was rubbish and he advised me on the SR1 - like I said though, it does feel a bit heavy at 11meters but its a good pole. Best thing would be to have a look at them in the shop rather than order online - then you can get a feel for the pole and advice of the tackle shop too. I did buy an Avanti seat box though and it is terrible and after owning it for less than 6 months it has fallen apart, the legs dont stay tight and the padded seat has lost its padding.

maver apocolyse i think its called, i cant spell anyway but im sure the 11 mtr is around the ton mark with 2 top 2's or about 170 for the 13mtr iv got the 11mtr and i cant moan but im into maver gear at the minute
