Barbel fishing

Hey guys im hopefully gonna be barbel fishing for the first time in late august (27th im leaving for somerset) but I would like to know any good rivers which have day tickets and the stretches to fish from with the place I can buy tickets from. Also I would like to know the baits/tactics that work on the paticular stretch and anything I would need to know as it's my first time fishing for barbel.

Also im think im gonna have a crack at fishing for chub so any other advice would be helpful.

I fish for barbel but my methods would not suit the rivers in your area,
There are some guys on here who will be able to help you better, just got to give em time to see your post m8

Let me know what rivers you are going to end up fishing - My website is based on fishing the River Severn which is a very big river, but it may give you a few ideas of the basics.
