| Any change over the years in catch rate? This is one for the long term angler. I see within the last say 15 years or so there has been all these new rigs/methods and most folk nowadays use them, incl paste / pellets / boilies etc. Has anyone noticed the catch rate in either size or amount any diiferent from the good old days of maggot / bread / meat etc. I ask as the price of these new baits and some rigs are so darn expensive towards the good old days. |

| Re: Any change over the years in catch rate? Ive Notice My Catch Rate Improve Hugely Over The Last 18 Months. But To Be Honest I Think Thats More Down To The Help Ive Received From A Someone On The Forum, Banana Steve. He Has Spent Alot Of Time Helping Me With My Waggler, Pole And River Fishing Over The Last 18 Months And Ive Been Catching Alot More And Better Sized Fish Also. Ive Noticed With My Carp Fishing Tho That Ever Since I Have Stopped Using Shelf Life Bollies And Moved Over To A Good Quality Frozen Bollie Ive Caught Alot More And Caught Some Lovely Fish Especially In The Last 12 Months. I Have Also Noticed A Diffrence In Catch Rate With Some New Rigs Im Using For Carp Fishing, Dont Get Me Wrong I Used To Catch Using A Simple Running Lead Rig; But The Rig Im Using Now Seems To Hook More Fish. |
