Re: match fishing Even though it is a public lake, some organisation/committee will still be responsible for the lake, its upkeep and its fish. This could be the council or the landowner. You would have to speak to them about the possibility of holding a match there. Once a week every weekend would probably nark the regulars but if it was a well organised monthly match, open to all who wish to take part and leaving pegs on the lake free for pleasure anglers then it may be OK. Meet with the people responsible for the lake and if they are OK with it, make sure that you publicise the match well and put up notices around the lake so that all who fish there are aware of what and when it is happening. You never know, you mite have allot of interest and make it a regular event.

Re: match fishing I don't think there will be any age restrictions for matches but as you are 13 you may need to be accompanied by a parent or older sibling. Good luck and remember, tight lines...

Re: match fishing Haha...I see, makes sense now KJ...sure that there wouldnt be a problem with your age. Just find out who the organisers are and if they are OK with it, put your name down - Show those old guys how its done!!!
