Hello all, i purchased a rod, which the guy said is a pro rod, an can be used in either salt or freshwater.

The only thing is i do not have a reel, an was going to goto decathalon an pick one up, but not at all sure of which one (right one) to buy?

Interesting , they made good quality rods from the late 1960`s to the 1980`s ,when they were absorbed into the Leeda Group, all freshwater as far as i can see, so not really suitable for sea fishing ....You`ve got yourself a classic rod !!!

Well you could use it but its not really suitable for general sea fishing as its a light freshwater rod, im afraid .

You cant really describe it as suitable for both freshwater and sea fishing ..
