river severn chub

hey all just wondered if anyone knows the best method to use for big chub on the severn, (worcester stretch) as i'm looking to get a few decent ones this season, was thinking waggler or trottin a stick or maybe banging a feeder out, but it's only' my 2nd season on the rivers and my feeder fishing is'nt top notch as i only knw basic rigs
also whats the bst bait to use, as meat didn't seem to bring me much joy last season nor did the pellet/boile approach

any help would be appercatied
