perch tips.

hi there i've discoverd a new pool and all i know so far is that its full of roach and perch.
basically its fringed with over hanging trees and reeds. has a small island and ranges from around two feet in the margin going out to about 6 feet in the middle. the bottom consists of that mucky smelly black rotten leaf litter.

what tactics could you suggest to pick off the bigger perch.if any and baits .
