First of all: Carp are a coarse fish so you have already started Coarse Fishing however it appears that the only coarse fish you have fished for so far is the Carp. It also appears that you have not yet done any float fishing. Also unless you have only fished for Carp on the surface then you have already used a leger rig.
Niether of these is 'the best' method because both of them have their uses and can both be 'the best' method on their day depending on the time of day and where you are fishing and how and at what depth the fish are feeding plus the weather conditions (temperature, wind speed etc.). Both of these methods can be used for Carp and any other coarse species. What you will catch depends on the venue you are fishing and what species are present. If you don't know how to start and what methods to use then I would advise you to ask at your local tackleshop who should be able to tell you where your local fisheries are and what species of fish are present at these fisheries plus which baits to use for the species present. Also what tackle you will need; Although once you have most of this information we should be able to give you some advice to help you to start catching. A good book for starting angling is also a good thing to have. All the best and tight lines Keith __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |
