Why is it ?

Why is it...


when you blank you go home dissapointed but resolve to learn?

when you see litter , you pick it up rather than just tut?

you can be an impatient person but can spend hours by water ?

you are out pursuing a sport you love and can stop in awe at the sight of a wren or kingfisher which distracts you from that sport?

you can feel real anger at hearing of a mass fish kill on a water you will never fish?

you are a better man (or woman) for helping those that need it, rather than seeking to make yourself look better by not doing so?

you get the biggest kick from seeing those you taught do better than you?

you hate getting up in the morning for work, but feel really alive as the sun peeps out on a summers dawn?

you don't get the result you are after and know it is down to you and no one else and you WILL do better next time?

you can't pass any body of water without looking for fish? Even a puddle :)

you are in tune with the changes of the seasons because you are in it each day?



Why?

Because you're an angler my friend .

Mike used to have a brass plate in the Lady Helen, to paraphrase it

"A day spent fishing is not deducted from the count of days in a mans life" (or something like that).
