Smile Closed Season Fishing In Somerset

Hi Everyone,

Newbie here, just moved to Shapwick on the beautiful somerset levels, I havent fished seriously for a couple of years but now looking to fish alot more due to all the available waters near me.

With the Easter holidays almost upon us......can anyone help me with finding a close season venue near me to try? And how they fish? I have heard of Peggys lake...

Thanks

Phil

The nearest fisheries to you will be Avalon Lakes, Burtle Road Ponds (Glaston Manor AA), Peggys Lakes, Walton Pond/Stanley Durston Pond (Taunton AA) and Lands End Fishery.

There used to be a place called Shapwick Lagoon on the Taunton ticket too but it isn't anymore, I am not sure what happened to the fishing, I think it is perhaps just a nature reserve.
