Reel Maintenance

Just picked up a secondhand Okuma IBF40 off Ebay only to find it sounds like a cement mixer when its turned . I removed the side plate and the reel was dry as a bone, I greased it up and checked the bearing and all seemed ok.

the actual noise is coming from the front spool mechanism so after removing the brass nut from under the spool! I managed to get some grease under there in the hope it would cure it but no joy.

is there another bearing housed in there? and can they be obtained if needed?

cheers for the info dovorian. just been right through it but can't find a parts list for a Interceptor IBF40. I'll contact the guy and see if he has any in stock....
