king01 has a spectacular aura aboutking01 has a spectacular aura about
looking for a place to go.

Hi all.

I am off from tuesday 3rd May for the week. I really fancy taking myself off for a few days to bury my head in fishing .

I am looking for the following.

1. Somewhere with in a sensible distance from Kent max 3-4 hrs. will go anywhere and being this close to the water will consider northern france/belgium.
2. picturesque location where I will be left alone in peace
3. I am a novice and intend to fish with simple tactics and simple kit.
4. don't really fancy somewhere with fancy rules such as, special removable weights or supersize landing net rules.
5. preferably with basic accommodation or camping, toilets, showers , bait shop and friendly.
6. not really interested in local sights or getting pissed in the bar.
want to fish solid day and night.
7. needs to be cheap was thinking of a couple of hundred quid maybe..?

does that sound feasable
your welcome to join me aswell

yes its not far from me. it's quite expensive but looks great on their website. someone told me it's invite only to fish their main specimen lake. Hold knock out rounds for top uk comps.

might go for the day and check it out.

Re: looking for a place to go.

Elphicks is a great fishery, i'm pretty sure you can fish all of there lakes you just have to book in advance. the north lake has a 50 lber and is stocked with lots of 20s and 30s too. i would love to spend a week there. the two lakes at the other end of the fishery look good too, i forget the names.but i think you would enjoy the plantation lake its only small but has carp to 36lb and only holds 6 anglers.
