Re: Grounbait for trout!

Hi Coupz, I think you`ll find trout fisheries don`t allow ground baiting, it`s normally posted on the fishery rules board. I`ve never been on one that did up here, although I may be mistaken about down south.

Re: Grounbait for trout!

I was at hopetoun fishery on Sunday for six hours was using hemp seed there the old guy was ok about it! Fished for 3 hours with just maggots in the swimfeeder! After the 3 hours I started to add the hemp seed in my feeder and throw in a hand full everything 15 mins and a got 3 fish alm around the 2 1/2lb Mark! so I think I'll be experimenting more with different things!

Re: Grounbait for trout!

yeah it worked for me a tried maggot for the first 3 hours was just getting wee nibbles then for the last 3 hours I added hemp seed along wi maggots and some pellet ! Just every 10 mins chucking in a small hand full in and manage to get 4 trout all around the 3lb Mark! So it worked perfect for me! This year um giving the trout a miss and concentrating on course fishing and especially carp as iv never done it before!
