| winter baiting tips hi all, I have a new fishing spot. on a very slow moving river, its new and in the middle of nowhere and i understand VERY rarely fished. There are some very good carp est at 20lb + but they fight lick buggery. dont know what else is in there. it is reasonably clear and you have to fish about 6 foot up a bank. I wanted to go for the day on wed and was gonna go early and set up by 8am. anyway to the point. what sort of bait would you use, would you pre bait it and would you fish an unknown river in the middle or far bank reed bed. i was planning on fishing the bottom on a hair rig with garden worm on one and boilie and pop up on the other. suggestions welcome __________________ I snagged.., 5lb tench, 25.3lb common, 16.4lb mirror , 2.2lb roach, 4 lb chub and 10lb Ghost. |

| Re: winter baiting tips Id chuck out a few feeders worth of ground-bait, pellets and hemp and then use a pellet or shaved down boilie as hookbait. Id take maggots/worms too as they are a good allround bait, If you take a selection of bait with you you can experiment __________________ Species 2011..
