Re: help please roach perch fishing

This time of year i would be looking for deeper water, If the lake is shallow find the deepest part. however if the lake is fairly deep look for water around 7ft+ and try and fish the bottom whether on the float or pole or feeder. Keep the feed very light and if you are fishing the bottom on the float think about using a small bait dropper to get the bait down. Stay with either caster or maggot and if you can get them use pinkie, try and not use any thing bigger than a 18 on your hook i would opt for a size 22 hook, try and keep every thing light, 3lb main line/ 2lb hook lengths. don't over feed i would put out 10 to 20 maggots at the most once every 15 minutes and if you are on the feeder use the smallest feeder you can and light hooklengths as well. Avoid using heavy ground baits try using light brown crumb mixed with a little sensas red lake but only mix up a half of bag using a small feeder should last you all day.

Hope this helps

Steve
