Methane levels Not in this house, I don't eat sprouts, but I am getting worried about the build up of methane in our club lakes. I'm too young to remember the massive freeze which happened in the 1960's. But I have heard that a lot of fish were lost. I have also heard of the rumoured thaw, and I can't wait, but after this cold, its been -8 for quite a few nights ina row, and I think the cie will take some time to go. __________________ Ignore the margins at your peril

Re: Methane levels whilst in conversation with jim the owner of blue water i remarked that perhaps he is worried about his fish because his lake freezes over every winter for at least a week or two, he said he is not in the slightest bit worried,on the contrary his fish emerge from the freeze up in tip top condition with no leeches or sores on them, he seemed to think it did them good

Re: Methane levels i would'nt worry to much matt.the croc has a large water volume and a good depth to it the fish will be fine.the fish at berkley will burrie them selfs in the silt and will slow down there body rates and probably wont feed.the natural bio system to the lakes will coup no problem as long as there is'nt to much feed going in the water which i cant see happening.

Re: Methane levels It is not methane but Co2 caused by rotting water weeds being unable to photosynthesise
