got phone call this morning from a friend whose garage is near mine, when he went to get his cafr out of his, he saw my garage door was partly open, so phoned me straight away.
came straight home from work & had a look, both my mini moto & mini quad were gone, garage turned right over & virtually all my fishing gear gone, all that's left are the wheels & handles for my nash h-gun trolley & the base of my maver club seatbox with a few bit inside, even all my bait has gone.
will keep an eye on ebag, just in case it comes up & local boot sales, but here's list of what's gone ...
mini quad without plastic body, got broken plastic foot rests, broken pull cord handle, flat tyres & rusty
mini moto in black with custom 1 off red with white outline decals, 383 on fairings, tribal graphic on front & flame graphics on wheel arches & behind seat, rusty

insurance not covering as it's in a council owned garage row, seperate from houses. would've been fine if it was connected to the property, so looks like i've got to save up again.

will try to have what i can again for the forum meet next year, at least there's time to save up lol & will make sure to make room in the cupboard in our 2nd floor flat, so at least i'll keep fit moving it.

i'm suprised that with all the shuffling through my garage, they didn't take any of my tools. they'd have had to pull my trailer & roof box out & rummage as my quad was up by my tool box & the moto was burried.

waiting for soco to check it out & council to replace the door.

all happens at once ... car plays up, pc dies & now this. at least i've just started a new job.

have just phoned my local tackle shop who'll look out for anyone trying to off load similar. will pop into the local cash converters in town too.

JUST AS A THOUGHT ...I wonder if we could have a section on here primarily for stolen gear.. we have a buy and sell that is trolled through and perhaps if just one person spies summit they recognise they can contact the relevant people on here ...if it could be updated with any news as it occurs we could keep it upto date and perhaps have it as a cross forum thing

Gutted for you, I've been burgeled here a few times.
Reckon they may try flogging stuff next sun at a car boot sale?? If possible I'd suggest getting out and about with a few mate, all with mobiles, and get the reg of anyone selling anything, then give the law a call.
Scottish and Mental is right, perhaps there be a section on nicked tackle, or perhaps a seperate website, call it 'nicked tackle' .co.uk or something?? If you have any gear nicked you could log it, but it needs back up, I know there area few police officxers who read posts here might be able to suggest further action.
It is worth marking gear as much a sposs, I think you can get micro dots for valuable items, they have postcode imprinted on them, you have to get the word out quickly?
