| spinning rod and reel hey people, first post on this site and just hoping for a few opinions. i currently have a 12ft drennan 7 series puddle chucker power carp rod and reel which i use for float, ledger and feeder fishing. i bought a couple of lures and used them with this setup which i know is not ideal and to be honest does not feel right. so im after a spinning rod and reel for about 100-120pound. wanted an all-rounder but realised this is impossible so decided i think i want to stay around the 10-50gr range and shorter the rod the better. no more than 8'. will be after anything in the water lol but if i come across a nice size pike, then i want to be able to handle it. any help would grateful cheers |
