| Spanish canal fishing Hi all, I have booked a week in SE Spain for the end of November. My folks live there and are near a popular fresh water fishing canal. Now i have a few questions as i have never fished a canal. should i be fishing the bottom or by float will have to used non live baits or what ever i can get in the local shops any idea what sort of fish i might find in spanish canal should i try lure fishing and if so how do you do it i will be taking a basic takle box and 2 suitcase packable telescopic rods. I think it will be more fun and luck than skill and judgement. although i would hate to go all that way and not catch anything please remember you are talking to mr billy basic beginner when you reply.. thanks __________________ I snagged.., 5lb tench, 25.3lb common, 16.4lb mirror , 2.2lb roach, 4 lb chub and 10lb Ghost. |

| Re: Spanish canal fishing there are without a doubt some canal fishermen out there, however, i dont suppose many will have any idea about what fish will be found in a spanish canal, much of the canal fishing in this country revolves around the use of the pole, and i would assume tactics in spain would be similar, keep it as light as possible would be my advice, light floats and hooklengths, whats the name of the canal mate ? |
