| Bowesfield Lane, River Tees - Tips? Hey up. Rite. Fished the Tees at Bowesfield Lane at the weekend. Choc full of anglers, peeing it down and rowers all morning but....i got a couple of eels on red maggot n choppy. Thats OK cos i aint ad an eel for ages so it was good to catch em but I wondered wat the tactics were for the stretch...it must be a good stretch judging by the number of lads out in such bad weather!! I used red maggot, chopped worm in feeder with Sensas River Black mixed wet. Started casting about 16 meters n ad not even a bite. Got the eels about half way across, only lightly fed at 16m whilst fishing half way and then went back to the swim but still nothing. Is this wrong? Looking down the bank everyone seemed to be using feeder tactics. The river was holding a little more water than usual and slow flowing. I like this area and want to fish it again but want some tips if anyone has em....cheers. |
