| Mote Park drained Mote Park lake in maidstone is great fot fishing and you can easily pull 20lb + of roach out of there. it has a good head of carp in double figures aswell as most other breeds. One of the sluice gates got blocked by a log so Maidstone council had to drain the lake and decided to have a clear out at the same time. result being the removal of. over a dozen sopping trollies, various size traffic cones, a ford fiesta thats been in there 4 years, over 100 mobile phones and a very heavy gravestone from the middle dated 1813...  it would have been nice if the resident angling club got involved to check on fish stocks...  atleast its had a good old clean up.     |

| Re: Mote Park drained its well known in kent for the quality of fishing, it even has history for big pike, a 35lb fish was caught there by none other then the late great alfred jardine back in victorian times, i hope the powers that be are doing it properly |
