New to Course fishing

Hi all,

Im new to this forum and to course fishing, im planing on going out with a friend of mine next week.

We're planning on getting a Enviroment Agency day ticket and fish one evening. I live in Ivybridge and were going to be fishin around the Tiverton area.

Anyone know of some free stretches to fish near Ivybridge or Tiverton, on this forum i read that there is a free stretch in Collumpton by Mole Valley farmers that i think we might check out.

I have been sea fishing a bit and have some fresh water kit and a really old fresh water rod, I want to get into it more before i decide what i want to but etc, anyone out fishing in these areas next week that can show us a good spot?

Im way up north from you but there are plenty of cider drinkers on here who should be able to give you some good advice
