If it's windy and wet

how does it affect the fish if its a crappy autumnal day. i noticed on thursday my rod tips were all over the place and i struggled at times to decide if it was a nibble or the squally wind.

when the light levels are low should i use a bit of tape or something on the rod tip to see it better.

does all this british weather put the fish off their lunch, . i still managed 2 carp and a bream though..
