| Re: float set up Heres the standard shotting patterns used on waters of up to approx 6 to 8ft deep using the waggler. ![]() In the summer months when fishing fairly close in for Tench another good method is using the Lift Bite method using a short float and using a single large shot only a couple of inches from the hook so that as soon as the Tench picks up the bait the float rises and starts to lie flat (see below). ![]() If you use the lift method then set your float over depth, then after casting place your rod in two rod rests then wind in untill the float sits up correctly in the water. A bite is usually signified by the float rising and starting to lie flat or just zooming away. tight lines and good luck Keith (BoldBear) __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |
