rod license fee , where does it go to ?

Here for a start

that EA chief executive Dr Paul Leinster receives between £195,000 and £199,999, while director of operations David Jordon earns £165,000-£169,999 and director of resources Graham Ledward earns between £150,000 and £154,999 a year.

Re: rod license fee , where does it go to ?

yes
but !

How do they warrant a wage of that scale ?, Pay them a normal wage and the licence fee will have a larger fund to benefit in the way it is supposed to ,

Its not the fee, But how that fee is spent!

This is true, to be honest and fair I dont think the fee is expensive but I agree in that it could be better spent! we could protest outside the EA offices???? or maybe get lots of fishermen to write letters?? other than this I cant see how we can get our voices heard ;-) unless you have any thoughts mate ;0

Re: rod license fee , where does it go to ?

i dont normally answer things on stuff like this but
the execs of the EA are employed to do far more than just the waterways, the EA covers most national environmental issues , pollution. flooding, bare building sites.etc , and although i stand to be corrected I am sure they are not paid for soley from the rod licence
