It can be difficult, especially with hybrid fish but I am of the same opinion of others in that they are crucian's mate, looks like a good days fishing, well done!

thanks dude did think one was brown goldfish it seems like it had a longer tail but im not that expert yet ill learn

so whe you catch another one you can count the scales to check what it is .

Nothing better than knocking crucians out early morning , before it gets to hot

when i was a kid , many yrs ago we had pits with nothing else but the buggers in , used to spend all summer hols fishing for them
Long gone now

Cracking live bait , live for hrs

Used to have a big tin bath in one of the field we used to put them back into after a days blanking while piking ,

Gave them a month and the hook holes had healed up
