| free waters in newbury hello im a new member ,i have been back into fishing for a year or so ,and although i have my rod licence,i dont have a permit ,luckly there are some nice day permit lakes near me and some canal stretches where i can fish for free ,but can anyone tell me the free water boundries for the river lambourn in newbury i went early sunday morning and pulled rainbows out like they where going out of fashion,just by trotting bread ,i returned them ,but wasnt too sure weather i was allowed to be there or not? |

| Re: free waters in newbury Hi mate. Forget about fresh water fishing. Lets do more sea fishing. If I go to seaside every weekend I will get bankrupted. Lets share the petrol cost and do some sea fishing. ![]() |

| hi id love to go sea fishing every weekend but i reckon it would cost me more than petrol ,alot more,and i like them just about where they are now if you know what i mean!! |

| Re: free waters in newbury I used to fish the river Kennet in Reading if thats not too far from you and there was a good free Barbel section we called the 'Jam Factory stretch' with a chinese fish n chip shop with its garden overlooking the river. We also used to fish the Kennet at Newbury, Thatcham and Burfield. If I lived in your area I would join the Reading & District Angling Association (or whatever they are called) they have some great waters in the area.
