| Aldi gear Follow on from my introductory post yesterday. I had a look at the ALDI gear today. First the landing net - picked it up, put it down and walked on. The rod is shrinkk wrapped so you can't get a good look but it did not look very impressive and the description of the material was vague. I did however buy one of the reels. It is marketed as FD40 all round reel. Loaded with 220 yds 4lb line and does not feel to flimsy. I opted for that one as I have read that front drag reels are better for float fishing. I also got the pack of floats so all I now need is a rod. I have limited budget so I am looking at some of the special offers:- Leeda float at £16, Shakespeare and Daiwa both abot £25. Any recommendations? |
