| Re: Browning zebco vs argos thanks for your reply nick, as for knowing what i want im not entirely sure, basically just an essential carp set up from scratch that could be used for night fishing aswell, with all the essentials that i would need including landing net and unhooking mat, etc as for budget i havnt got a set budget as such just qaulity and value for money as a guide say around £300? | Re: Browning zebco vs argos totally agree with nick, I bought my first carp set from argos and ended up replacing it all within months, best thing to do is get your basic rod and reel then just build up your gear with time, Ive said this a few times on here but boyes do some bang on carp gear, I got two real tree rods for £39.99 each and just landed my first 20lb carp with one with ease, also I have a set of okuma interceptors which I paid £29.99 for from amazon and these are great also. __________________ Species 2011.. | Re: Browning zebco vs argos yup i have to agree with the others have a look around ebay for some gear too.... there is always someone selling 3 rods or 3 reels ect.. you can pick up some bargains if you look around for example i just got a viper mk3s with hardwired ff1 fish finder 6 spare batteries solar panel plus bags chargers ect a receipt to prove its only 2 months old and was brought for £1100!... for the grand total of £460.01 ![]() __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |
