Pole help please. Peoples. As promised in my introductory post, I'm picking your brains if I may. I have been given a "Daiwa Carbon Mate G241-80" pole. It is 8 metres in length, has seven sections and is made in Korea. My question is....... As I'm not into pole fishing but have seen it done plenty of times and am aware that most poles have different strengths of elastic. The pole I have has no hole in the end section for the elastic to come out of, it is a solid end section. How does it work? Ta moochos.

Re: Pole help please. No mate, no loop. Tye end section tapers to less than a matchstick thick so no drilling it out. It starts off hollow then half way down has a solid section whippen on. I have taken the whipping off but there is no way the soild section will separate from the hollow.

Re: Pole help please. you need to find the first part of the end section that is hollow and using a hacksaw cut off the solid bit and throw awayf. Go to your local tackle shop and buy an elastication kit. This will have a bush, a pole bung and a connector to tie your elastic to. Best thing is to elasticate the tip section that is left after you have cut it and the next section as well. Try buying a elastication kit that has an adjustable bung this means you can alter the tension of the elastic easily. It really is a doddle to do.

Re: Pole help please. if i still lived in erith i would come and do it for you. Failing that you can buy universal top two kits that might fit your pole. These are already elasticated.
