| Re: What changes Just recently while kayaking along my local canal I have found a dead pike about 5lbs maybe and an eel that was prob about the same. I realise that they could have died from natural causes but I couldn't help thinking that it had been done on purpose. I do hope that this is not the case but over my years of fishing both of these species seem less than popular to some and some of those people have openly admitted to killing them if caught unintentionaly. I would certainly like to see less of this ignorant kind of behaviour. Cheers Jase. |

One of the clubs that I belong to (Verulum AC) has a thriving junior section with their own committee run by adults and juniors to discuss events , coaching , schools extra activity and all other aspects of the junior section; plus its own junior section pages on the clubs web site plus a Club Forum (open to members only) where they can get some good advice on venues & tactics or just have a chat to other members about fishing. __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |

| Re: What changes i don't think it's just novice anglers of any age, but quite a lot of more experianced anglers would find some form of extra instruction helpfull. i started angling at quite a young age, with my dad & granddad teaching me. i took a break through my 20's & took it up again a few years ago & i certainly noticed a lot of changes. unfortunately, i don't have the spare money to join any angling clubs, but would more than welcome any helpfull advice from more experienced anglers on where i could improve, hence angling forums being so popular, the only thing is, your technique can't bee seen, so you don't always know how you can improve. the hints & tips on here & in the media are most helpfull. i'm still trying to organise a day with a former work mate to teach me how to pole fish, due to his health, i may have to wait untill next year now, but i'd rather that than going about an unfamiliar method blind. __________________ www.mobilespanner1.co.uk |

| Re: What changes I can't think of any changes i would want to make BUT all this talk of "tests"before being able to fish really frightens me,don't you think our lives have enough "regulation"as it is,also it would definitely put off many from even trying out angling. It is right though that one should try and help anyone that seems to be struggling at the water side. |
