Re: really dissapointed maver MX3500

Hi Jools,

Take it back and inform them that it didn't do the job that it was bought for.

You explain the problem and ask them to return your money.

If they wont play ball, you then go to the Trading Standards and explain to them. If there is a genuine design fault, you will have no problems.

Regards

Drew

Jools, If you paid by credit card you may be able to make a claim through them if the retailer won't play

have you got the extendable legs in the right way? there are not little holes that the screws are meant to screw into are there. My old daiwa station had them.

Fitness for purpose. Adjustable legs should lock, if not then not fit for purpose. Refund time.

Re: really dissapointed maver MX3500

I appreciate you don't want to argue with your local tackle shop. Under the sales of goods act of 19 wenty whenever it is the retailer who is the first point of contact. You could tell Maver that I won't be buying any more of their kit till they resolve this either. Just don't tell them I haven't bought any yet but am in the market for a pole inthe next 12 months so.......it's either them or Avanti. No I was kidding ;)

Re: really dissapointed maver MX3500

Tackle shop are your first port of call , Maver will tell you to do this any way .
Or if your very lucky they will send out replacement legs , Maver customer service is pretty poor any way as i have found out in the past

All coated legs have the same problem of not locking in
i just sand the coating off as it comes off any way in wear and tear then paint black

Re: really dissapointed maver MX3500

thanks for the comments i rang maver direct and initially they told me to take the box back or get the shop and get them to ring maver i spoke to three people my point being that they could only say the same thing on the phone as I .As promised the rang me back within the hour and offered a pair of legs to try to be sent to me direct so i didnt have the hassle of travelling to the shop and such..fair play i would do that... then an hour later they rang me back again offering me 6 new chrome legs to try to be sent out immediately the people i spoke to at maver were polite and efficient and i was very pleased with the reception i received..let you nknow when the legs arrive
