| Re: water deepness ![]() Using a plummet to find the depth Remember; do this before you put the rest of the shot on your line otherwise the float will not rise up in the water and start to lie flat when overdepth. NB. Plummets come in many different forms: some (like the one in the picture) have an eye to thread your hook through with a piece of cork in the bottom to stick the point of your hook into; some are spring loaded and which clip over your shot, and some that have an eye to put your hook into with a piece of rubber tubing to slide over the hook and hold it in position.
