| Daft idea for a charity fundraiser. I've had one of them flashes of inspiration (or a hangover as we more commonly think of it). Why don't we pick a day (24 hours) sometime in the summer/autmun. Everyone that wants to take part puts their name forward. We nominate one of the major disciplines (coarse, sea, fly) we want to take part in. We agree a list of fish that will be feeding around that time and then pick one out of a hat. The objective is for that angler to catch at least one of them fish that day. We could then have another list of harder to catch fish (eg barbel :) ) that can then seek to catch once the one example of your nominated fish is caught. Because they are harder you get to nominate. You can also change disciplines to do this. Winner gets a token prize and everyone taking part puts in a fiver or a tenner or something to raise funds. So for example. Easy list. Fish of any size from this list (you don't choose this). Roach Perch Gudgeon Barbel (yes I know) Hard list (bonus points for ) Cod Grayling Roach 1.5 LB + Chub 5 lb+ Barbel 10lb+ What do you reckon ? This means everyone up and down the country can fish without the expense of getting together in the same place. This is just an idea right now so it needs some feedback and tightening up. What charity or example. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |
