Re: Which Pole

Best advice I can give is to go to various shops and have aplay. If the shop is any good, they should let you sit there with a pole ion a box for a while to see if you like it.
They cost a lot of money so you should get the chance to see if it matches up to what you want.

Re: Which Pole

i'm currently in the market for a new pole too and will be purchasing it in the spring time and i'm eying up a maver.
what type of fish will you be targeting on your pole ? if you our planning on fishing commercials for those big carp may i reccomend the maver invicible or the new maver power light invincible at 14.5m that would get you the extra lenght you need and a lot of extra power and if you shop around a bit i've seen them for 600 on the internet

thight lines, tom

Re: Which Pole

Are you going to be fishing matches and do you need the extra length (No Pun Intended) I used to fish alot of matches a couple of years ago and found that holding a pole at full reach used hurt my back, i know that some expensive poles are lighter these days but now i pleasure fish i very rarely fish over 9 mtrs, i may go to 14.5 on the canal but anything long than that just hurts my back. If you are looking for a longer pole i would test one out at full length see how it feels, no point getting a 16 mtr pole if you cant hold it. Hope my point helps.

Regards, Steve
