carp fishing for a beginner

hello fisherman , what i want to know is can you help me with a rig to use for carp between the 10lb - 20lb mark as i will be attempting to fish just for carp for the very first time at a water next week and i'm absoluty clueless when it comes to rigs please can you also explain what components i will need to set up the rig and tell me the purpose that they serve within the rig any diagrams would be VERY helpfull
