maver invicible hi everyone i'm thinking abouth purchasing a maver invincible in the spring time this is because i do alot of carp fishing on my local commercial and other waters which are now holding many big carp talking well into double figures so i want a reliable pole that will not break and will be rombust enougth to handle big fish. the maver invincible is said to be the "strongest pole ever made" is this true? and would i be able to use it for other smaller fish i'm not talking canal here but just generaly smaller fish that may occur on the waters i fish such as bream and tench furthermore is the pole really heavy, correct me if i'm wrong here but i think it weights something like 1100kg would you class that as really heavy considering it's a really strong carp pole not a featherweight flimsy thing like alot of competition poles so if anyone of you fisherman own a maver invinible some feedback on one would be fantastic or some info if you know anybody who owns one thanks, tom ps. just to save your own time pleasr dont post any info of the net as i have almost certainly read it before. thanks again

Re: maver invicible I think that Maver will always say that their poles are the strongest carp poles. The only thing i have found is that maver poles are thin walled so are prone to damage from over squezzeing them. You might want to look around more try going to your local tackle shop and looking at the poles and trying them at full length to see if you can physically use them. you said that the weight was 1100kg (i hope not Hope this helps Steve __________________ Born to fish made to work

Re: maver invicible thanks steve i know the maver competiton poles are a bit flimsy as my friend owns the maver 171 and has had it break on him loads of times. i'll take your advice on going to my local tackle shop and having a feel with some poles to see if their suitable for me and yes 1100kg is a bit heavy for an 11m pole but i currently have a diwa meanstreak wich is a simualr weight and as i have used this pole for a long time i'm used to the weight and balance of it lol
