Fur and Feather match.

My club has our first fur and feather match for ages, and I have not fished a match for donkey's years myself, so I am sitting in front of the woodburner, sorting tackle I have not used for years.
Its going to be fun.
Been sorting out tackile, so suprised how much I had lying around, that I never used, never has the expression that floats catch more fishermen than fishes be so true.

Sorry I can't help with any lifts, my little 'comedy' car just won't take it.
Do you think I can twist Steves arm into accepting that my weight should be doubled if I use old fashioned cane? Picked up a lovely can rod last week, just waiting for a chance to use it on the rivers.

Seriously I'd like to do well, the old competative streak has been comming through last few days, turning some caster for JP and I, sorting out tackle box, which type of tea to take.
Truth is I'll proabably use carbon. Cane is for pleasure fishing.

Deffantly going to try and reduce what i take struggled carrying it the distance last weekend. And take my wellies its very muddy.

Make sure you pack some sunglasses, the weather people think were in for some high pressure, that will mean the sun is likely to be out, and it will be in your face and reflecting from the water too.

Thats one of ther plans, but I'll bring a selection of baits and see what the fish want on the day.
