Do i need to worry?

Question: When I last fished my local lake, I caught this carp and a few like it, I noticed that that some of them had a purple tinge to them and the scales looked a little milky to me. Does anyone have any ideas on this should I be worried?

I have seen a few like this at Berkley, they are all around the same size

any other signs fin or gill damage or worse any deaths.

No just the Purple Tinge, The Fish fort hard. i was wondering if Dave Park had seen this before?

MIght be worth getting them checked but looking at the fins I'm guessing they have all been stocked from the same place . The fins show tip damage maybe . Might be worth an email to the EA.

Yeah was going to say ive had a few like that form berkly and also some with no left eye.
Think its form years of natural breading.

may be worth popping the next one you catch to the vets see what they think.

i had one like that out of a local still water it was a 4lb common and it had fin damage and over a week later they had to put the airators out for lack of oxygen in the water due to the big carp boys piling in tons of bait and ruining the water
