Smile Rod Licence

Hello Fellow Fisherman,

As you are aware I am new to Freshwater Fishing; Just want to ask you a quick question: On The Environment Agency website there are two types of rod licence could some one please tell me the difference between these two below;

1.Non-migratory trout, char, freshwater fish (coarse fish) and eels. £26.00

2.Salmon and migratory trout (sea trout)., non-migratory trout, char, freshwater fish (coarse fish) and eels. £70.00

Regards

Jay

Re: Rod Licence

The main difference is the salmon fishing mate ,,,,,,,ooooooooooo and the price ,,

You want the cheaper one unless your going salmon fishing

Dont forget the price is for 2 rods

Re: Rod Licence

Cheers mate. So if you get the £70.00 you can fish with 2 rods and if you get the £26.00 you can only fish with one is this correct ?

Re: Rod Licence

Cool, thanks for that info guys.

So basically they are the same: they both allow you to fish with 2 rods; but the more expensive one allows you to fish for salmon. Also it says that the licence runs from April 1st - 31st March does this mean that to get a full season of fishing I should purchase my licence near April.

the £26 licence allows you to fish 2 rods for most fish except salmon and seatrout( to which yo need more expensive licence) if useing 3 rods you need to buy a second EA £26 licence, or face a horrid fine if caught, all licences run til april 1st then renew
