Getting ready for Todber Well as I have never done a 48hr session I have begun getting ready for Todber. I know the meet is some weeks away. As they sayu be prepared. Also, the bait I'm making is seasonal, I spent an hour picking, the joy of working in horticulture is I can cultivate my own ingredients. No its not hemp! I will say that my kitchen smells wondeful. Fingers crossed the bait will work as well on the beasts at Todber as it did on the wildies at Berkley. Other plans involved doing the weekend in style.

Re: Getting ready for Todber I'm not going to rely on one bait, I just want to pursue a differnt approach on 1 rod. The way I see it, a specimen lake at a popular complex such as Todber, is going to be fished by some very good anglers, the fish will have been caught before. And most like have seen a boilie or 100 plus loads of pellets. I'll have plenty of back up baits too, but plan on catching on my own. The irony is I planned this bait a couple of years ago, for chub and roach on the somerset frome.

Re: Getting ready for Todber There are a few weeks to go befor ethis meet, but as I am not a long session angler I have to plan this thing out properly, such as feul for the kelly kettle, catering, I'm not content to eat rubbish from a tin. Most importantly we need to do it in stlye.

Re: Getting ready for Todber I too have started to get ready been getting bits of ebay hooks 1/0 to 2, line for hook lengths, dumbells and pollyballs. Reels loaded with new line 18lb korda adrena-line. Got bivve, bedchair and normal chair all thanks to banana steve. Been working on my groundbait recipe very smelly, will sort bait closer to the time but will take a good selection 48hrs should be enough time to try a few. Need to think about a sleeping bag might be a bit chilly on a night. May even have my bait boat by then as i'm looking to get one for pike fishing at Chew valley
