Closed season

Hi, do any of you know if you are allowed to fish the canals in the closed season? I know this is a silly question, but I have seen some people fishing down the canal at about 2 weeks before Christmas. Thank you, Tight Lines, Ryan

If I remeber correctly close season is from end of March to June 16th so Xmas is fine.
As a generalization it is also only applicable to flowing water. Canals don't flow very much so some are open and some are shut. If in doubt ask in your local tackle shop as there are regional variations. They will also tell you where is fishing well.
